In 1979 A.D. it was upgraded to Lower Secondary Level, then to Secondary Level in 1996 A.D., and later, due to the increasing number of students, it was upgraded to Higher Secondary Level in 2010 A.D. Later, by the policy and decision of the Government of Nepal, it was reorganized as Secondary Level for Higher Secondary Level. The official name of this school is 'Shree Kedar Secondary School'. It is situated in a densely populated area at Nechasalyan Rural Municipality in the southern part of Solukhumbu district.
